Weight for it…….

Okay, so went to the Dr. to get weighed this morning and first I have to give some love to Dr. Elizabeth Beiter with Mercy Medical Associates in Marimont and the staff…could not be more supportive and encouraging. Sooo IĀ  am 18lbs less than when I weighed in on September 1st. I am relieved, and pretty proud of myself for making the changes I said I would. I kept my caloric intake around 2,000 calories a day, ate more veggies, fruits and no red meat. I cut way down on sugar, sweets and refined white carbs. More quinoa, more water and more moving. No Starbucks, no fast food, or eating out at all in those two weeks. ( That is not something I am cutting out all year but it is something I choose not to do for the first two weeks) No sweet tea, no soda (I am not a big soda drinker but I do like ginger ale)…

The lesson learned is that your mind can really screw you! I had myself convinced last night that I had not lost weight, even though my clothes were looser, I was moving better and I overall felt better!Ā  I am forging ahead very motivated and while I know in the next year there will be weeks I don’t lose or weeks I gain but it was important for me to have a loss the first weigh in and I am very happy.

Thank you everyone for all the encouragement, kind words and believing in me when I was doubtful! xo

Wow! Wow! WOW! That is absolutely fabulous! I’m so proud of you. As someone who has also struggled with her weight for decades, I know what an accomplishment this is. And to put yourself out there publicly to help raise money for the pooches…well, that just makes you a total inspiration. Way to go! I’ll be sending off my promised $5-per-pound today. You’re a one-woman fundraising machine. šŸ™‚
