The big sale…40% off

I weighed in this morning and I am down another two pounds! This brings my grand total to 40 pounds so far, I have lost my age in weight. I am 40% to my goal, almost half way there! Things that help me gain perspective as to  just what that means… losing 40 pounds is like losing….


5 – one gallon jugs of water

I want to hit 50 pounds lost by the March 1st weigh in, that would be be right on target for 50 pounds in 6 months, which some might think of as slow in comparison to watching  the “biggest loser” or reality shows that produce results in record time.  I am not interested in quick fixes, starvation, liquid diets, staples, surgeries, pills, powders with promises of amazing results. I would not trade what I am learning, the shame I am letting go of, and how I am finally loving myself for any quick and easy way to reaching my goals.

The fabulous Dr. Beiter reminded me that I have managed to lose weight during the hardest time of the year, winter. Soon it will be spring and I just can’t wait to get on my bike and see how much faster and farther I can ride with less weight on my frame! Thank you to all the people in my life that continue to support me, love me, and hold the space for me when I stumble and of course to my amazing dogs who remain my lifeline everyday.

    You’re really doing great!!

    I’ve been slacking on the swimming a lot lately and I can feel it, but I haven’t been feeling well and I just can’t be bothered half the time. It’s a drag and it makes a long day even longer. During winter, getting home at 9.30 pm is not very enjoyable. The house is freezing, I’m tired and hungry and all I want is my bed, but I can’t coz it’s too cold to get it. lol

    You’re doing great though and I continue to read your blog. I’m amazed at your strength and willpower. I know you’ll make it, but I also know you won’t be disappointed if you don’t make that mark. As you said, what you are learning along the way, is much more important than any number on any scale.
    And even if you don’t reach your set goal by the set time, you’ll get there later and you’ll go beyond. You’ll reach greater goals and achieve better things, because you are learning every day.
    Besides, once Tristan is comfy on the leash, you’d better be in good enough shape, or he’ll *put* you in it :o)

      How are you doing? Feeling better? It’s hard to get moving when you are not feeling good and winter does not help the motivation, I can so relate! I am trying to just do the best I can, that is all we can do! 😉 I sure hope you are feeling better friend!
