Day 1 (of 10)

It is Monday night and today was day 1 of the 10 days Lindsey will be gone on vacation. I talked to her tonight and she said “be good” and so I will. It means something to me, to give my word and to try my very best to be the best I can everyday which will include some imperfections but that is the beauty of learning as I go so I am grateful for it all. Today was actually a great day both food wise and getting a good run in despite the stress of the day.

Here is the low down on my food intake for the day….

Breakfast

one small homemade wheatfree blueberry scone with one hardboiled egg

one cup of coffee with both a little cream and raw sugar

 

Snack

one peach

water

 

Lunch

Two slices Ezekiel sprouted whole wheat bread

2tbs humus, tomato, spinach and 1/2 avacado

a serving of pretzel thins

a banana

water

 

snack

small iced mocha with almond milk (no whipped cream) from a local coffee house. It has about 160 calories.

 

 

Dinner

Two cups of kashi cereal

1/2 cup raspberries

1/2 cup blueberries

2 tbs of almonds

a small peach

1 banana

1 cup almond milk

water

dinner

Snack

15 ranier cherries

 

I went to the gym after work and did a 40 minute run/walk which took me 2 miles. I was a sweaty mess at the end which always makes me feel good.

It was a good start to the week. Thank you to everyone for their kind works and support, feeling good today…keep them coming it’s gonna get harder as the week goes on.

For my amazing friends who said “you got this” today…. you were right!

    You owned it! Wow, your food for the day was amazing. I will be heading to the store for Kashi and fruit. Now if I could find the will to “run” to the store. You go girl!
