The fly by…day thirteen.

Today was a reunion of sorts. While Pierre was not one of my foster dogs he holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons. He was rescued by Recycled Doggies but as with many dogs you don’t really know what their past experiences have been. Pierre struggled, he was aggressive and acted out. When there was a need for someone to take him to training classes, I volunteered.  I remember the first time I went to pick him up, I sat down on the floor and let him come to me, (I might have had roasted chicken in my hand) and he leapt into my lap and we have been best buds ever since. Pierre was adopted by my good friend Josh who showed him patience, love, routine and has given him such a wonderful life, I am so grateful for Josh and the for the gift of being able to spend time with Pierre.  Imagine how happy I was when they showed up to go out for lunch today! We walked to my new favorite healthy spot downtown (Happy Belly) and enjoyed sitting outside, eating a healthy meal and catching up. I feel like everyone who walked by and got a glimpse of Pierre’s sweet face couldn’t help but smile, how could you not smile at this sweet boy? Happy Friday everyone. xx
